Mala Xiang Guo, also known as the Spicy Fragrant Pot, originates from Southwest China. Its history dates back to the Ming and Qing
dynasties, when dock workers and boatmen in Sichuan and Chongqing cooked various ingredients together in one pot, flavored with local
spicy seasonings. This cost-effective and time-saving cooking method quickly gained popularity among the laborers, laying the foundation
for the Mala Xiang Guo we know today.
